Mermaids exist in folklore and fairy tales all over the world. They are said to be extremely attractive and sing lovely songs. They are the spirits of the seas and rivers and have many names: undines, rusalkas, naiads. They are the elementals of water and therefore are connected to the emotional and irrational part of human nature.

My Mermaid is a lovely maiden that rests peacefully on your finger cradling a beautiful grey pearl in her hand.

The Mermaid ring was first carved in wax. A live model (a friend of mine) has posed to me so I could get the posture just right.

The ring was cast in sterling silver, polished and set with a lovely 5 mm grey pearl. White pearl is available on request.

The lower part of the shank is very thin, so this ring will fit comfortably.
The upper part (the body of the Mermaid) is hollowed, so the ring is relatively light.
